Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, assigned to the GNB Zone Command No. 62 of the Bolívar state, apprehended three citizens at the La Romana citizen service point.
During the inspection of a Volvo brand public transport vehicle, model B12R, multicolored and red, the uniformed officers detected a hidden compartment and a modified iron tank. Inside, a total of 1,740 liters of diesel fuel were found.
Said fuel was distributed in 16 plastic drums and an adapted iron tank.
The three subjects, whose identity was not revealed, were flagrantly detained.
The procedure, which includes the vehicle and the seized material, was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
