In a tragic episode of violence that mourns the community, Deputy Mayor Omar Enrique Torres Cuadros, investigator of the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJÍN) of the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police, was murdered on Monday night in the urban area of Floridablanca, Santander. .
The incident occurred when Torres Cuadros was on his day of rest, accompanied by a woman.

According to the first versions, the attack was provoked by an exchange of words between the victim and the attackers.
During the argument, one of the attackers wounded him with a sharp weapon in the precordial region, causing his death shortly after.
Capture of the aggressors
Thanks to the quick action of the authorities through a lock plan, three people were captured in flagrante delicto. The detainees, identified as Expedido., Shirley A. and Javier R., allegedly participated in the fatal attack.
According to what was known, a video from a security camera captured the moment in which they approached the researcher and, after a brief attempt at mediation by the woman who accompanied him, one of them perpetrated the fatal attack.
The deputy mayor was rushed to the Foscal Clinic in Bucaramanga, but unfortunately died upon arrival due to the severity of the wound.
