The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) defined that the semi-annual recategorization for monotributistas will be enabled from July 11 to 29 and the expiration of the payment of the monthly obligation will be extended until July 27, within the framework of the enactment this Monday of the Tax Relief Law.
The AFIP implemented, in this way, the changes to guarantee that 4.5 million monotributistas from all over the country access the benefits.
With the new regulations, “the maximum billing limits per category of the monotax are extended. They have a progressive orientation that privileges people registered in the lowest categories by allowing them to be able to invoice up to 60% more“, said the official dependency in a press release.
At the same time, the tax component is exempted for 1.7 million people registered in categories A and B who do not receive other income (for example, do not have a job in a dependency relationship or collect a pension).
There is also an “increase in deductions for self-employed workers who pay income tax. The law increased the special deduction from 2 to 2.5 times and, in this way, reduces the tax burden and improves the purchasing power”.
The AFIP regulations define the new dates with the corresponding deadlines, both for the recategorization, which will impact in August, and for the payment of the monthly obligation in July.
