Pachuca, Hgo., Members of the Council of the Polytechnic University of Tulancingo (UPT) determined to expel Manuel Martínez, after a video was released in which he joined a beating to master Ángel Ramírez Montiel, inside a classroom, last July 25, with the argument that he constantly harassed him and humiliated him.
The young man was under the Bachelor of Foreign Trade and Customs; In addition, last Thursday he was also expelled from the School of Martial Arts he attended.
As for the teacher, he will remain suspended and his case was turned to the Ethics and Conflict of interest committee, which will determine if he incurred undue behavior, and if so, what sanction would be applied to him.
This procedure could last three to five days. Despite being suspended, the Ministry of Public Education of Hidalgo (SEPH) pointed out that their labor rights have been respected.
Meanwhile, an investigation was also initiated on the way of acting of the UPT personnel for the alleged indifference and omissions that Martínez made against the mentor made.
According to the SEPh, the way in which the tutor, the director of Academic Division, the Academic Coordinator, the Rector and all involved, which, in appearance, did nothing to address the complaints of the former student.
Yesterday, a group of students blocked the accesses to the UPT to demand from the educational authorities to brake on cases of harassment, Bullying and harassment by teachers and administrative staff, and expressed their support for Martínez.
