The National Chamber of Commerce (CNC- Bolivia) and the British Embassy in Bolivia signed a cooperation agreement that intends that the Bolivian businessmen of that union generate commercial ties with their peers in England, as well as with suppliers and associations.
The document was signed by the president of the CNC-Bolivia, Rolando Kempff, the British ambassador to Bolivia, Jeff Glekin, the UK Minister for Foreign Trade and Equality, Mike Freer, and the Trade Commissioner for Latin America, Jonathan Knott.
“One of the fundamental purposes of the agreement is to generate commercial ties between the companies of the National Chamber of Commerce and the firms, suppliers and associations of the United Kingdom”, confirmed Kempff.
The businessman highlighted that in 2021 Bolivian exports to England totaled 11 million dollars, especially products such as tin; fruits and nuts; furniture and its parts; soy and coffee.
While imports to the country reached 31 million dollars and the imported products were mainly automobiles, alcoholic beverages, lubricants for vehicles and work machinery.
The businessman from La Paz indicated that the agreement with England will allow the realization of commercial, cultural and academic events that promote establishing links between authorities, businessmen, entrepreneurs, producers, researchers and scientists.
