The Coffee Trunk is enabled in both lanes in the La Cepa sector in Amagá, Antioquia, after removing 30,000 cubic meters of material that fell more than a week ago and that forced its closure. The critical point was in the La Mansa-Primavera section. This important road connects Medellín with Chocó and the Southwest of the department.

The commander in charge of the Traffic and Transportation Section, Major Karina Londoño, assured that the institution continues in the sector to guide drivers and guarantee mobility.
“The road that connects Medellín with Quibdó was opened at kilometer 76 in the La Cepa sector. The concession will be monitoring at night and at dawn, taking into account the heavy rains that have occurred during the week. The Police will be managing traffic in this sector, “he said.

Covipacífico recommended that drivers travel with caution on this section because “Continues to present constant rock fall, so you must pay attention to the signs and respect the speed limits ”.

The closure of the Troncal del Café affected thousands of travelers on New Years weekend and part of the holiday bridge. The alternate routes are in poor condition and the trip takes up to two hours.
About 300,000 travelers will travel along the main roads of Antioquia on this festive Three Kings bridge. The National Police has 26 prevention areas on the department’s highways.
