The president of AySA, Malena Galmarinienabled a drinking water network for more than two thousand inhabitants of the San Miguel district, while stating that the company is working on two more projects to complete 100% water coverage in the neighborhood by the end of 2023, it was officially reported .
“In the Miter neighborhood, we enabled the first module of the water network; in addition, we are working on the second module, contracting the third, and with that, 100% of the neighborhood will have drinking water,” said Galmarini, who was accompanied by the local mayor, Jaime Mendez.
The new “Secondary Network of Drinking Water-Barrio Miter MI”, carried out by the San José Ltda work cooperative under the modality of the A+T program, consisted of the installation of more than 4,800 meters of pipes.
Lastly, Galmarini remarked: “In these three years we have invested $14,000 million because we are also renovating existing networks.”
In San Miguel, AySA has 55 active works, 30 for potable water and 25 for sewers, to benefit more than 108,000 residents.
Also participating in the activity were Sonia Kabala, general manager of APLA; Débora Galán and Rubén Eslaiman, provincial deputies; and Juan José Castro, Adrián Luque and Laureano Quiroga, councilors of San Miguel.
On behalf of AySA, the event was accompanied by Rodolfo Rojas, director of Community Development; and Diego Fraga, northern regional director and member of the San Miguel District technical team.
