As of this Friday, a vaccination point will be enabled that will operate 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The place chosen for this immunization center is the La Paz Bus Terminal. It is estimated that an average of 7,000 people attend these facilities daily.
“At the La Paz Bus Terminal, starting tomorrow (Friday), you will be vaccinated 24 hours a day and seven days a week,” announced Mayor Iván Arias on the radio program “La Paz en paz”, according to the Municipal News Agency (Amun).
The mayor indicated that installing a vaccination point 24 hours a day in the middle of the fourth wave will allow La Paz and travelers from other departments to receive the vaccine in a timely manner.

According to municipal information, the influx of people to receive the Covid-19 vaccine increased this week in three municipal hospitals in La Paz and in mobile vaccination points.
For his part, the administrator of the La Paz Bus Terminal, Américo Gemio, specified that everything is ready to start vaccination on a continuous schedule at the land terminal from this Friday. A week ago, the authority said that 7,000 people arrive by buses every day.
Likewise, the mayor of La Paz instructed the municipal secretary of Health, Cecilia Vargas, to manage with the Headquarters a greater number of nasal antigen tests to respond to the demand of the population.
Vargas announced that he will contact the Departmental Directorate of Health and asked the population not to be alarmed and collapse the anticovid test points, because if they are vaccinated the consequences of contagion with the virus will be less compared to those who are not vaccinated.
The municipal authority also highlighted the initiative to extend the hours at such a crowded vaccination point. “I think it is very good news to be able to extend the hours of attention at a vaccination point,” he said.
