Officials of the Ministry of Ecosocialism (MINEC), together with members of the GNB Environmental Nursery Coordination, dismantled a clandestine charcoal factory of vegetable coal in a farm located in the western area of the Anzoátegui state.
In the operation, 14 thousand 80 kilos of coal were seized, which were marketed in sacks in regional markets
As reported by the Minec through a publication in the Instagram account, on the farm where the factory operated, located in the Santa Clara sector of the Bruzual municipality, 11 artisanal furnaces were counted for the manufacture of coal, “all operations and with material processed inside”.
As explained, at the time of the inspection, two ovens were lit, while the other nine were in cooling phase.

Officials can document the affectation of plant species in an area of 1.5 hectares, where the selective cut of forest trees such as the healthy stick (Bulnesia Arborea) and Cují (Prosopis Juliflora) for the elaboration of the vegetable coal, product that was scattered on the site and content in 704 bags of about 20 kilograms each.
The Commission, following procedures of current environmental regulations, seized tools and other equipment, including shovels, peaks, machetes, knives, wire, metal files, a motorcycle and four liters of fuel.
