A logistics center where double bottom vehicles were prepared for the transport of drugs was dismantled by military agents in the La Recta de Ayarí sector, trunk 5, Fernández Feo municipality (San Rafael del Piñal), Táchira.
Details of the procedure were aired on the Instagram account of General in Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, who is in charge of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb).
In the aforementioned publication they state that the logistics center was located in an abandoned house. In that property, military officials found 30 packages of marijuana weighing 15 kilos and 566 grams.
They also located a pick-up truck hopper, two fuel tanks with adaptations and tools of criminalistic interest, says the report from the head of Ceofanb.
The procedure was carried out within the framework of Operation Binational Peace Zone No. 1, decreed by President Nicolás Maduro to face the threat of invasion ordered by the United States.
Agents assigned to the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Strategic Operations Group (Goes) and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim) participated in that Táchira operation.
“Venezuela is a land of peace, law and justice, where the scourge of drug trafficking is fought, we will not be platforms for drug trafficking,” said Hernández Lárez.
Another anti-drug operation was carried out by Goes officials in collaboration with the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit No. 12 of the GNB on trails in the Padre Diego sector, Iribarren municipality (Barquisimeto), Lara.
On the aforementioned road, the agents detected a shipment of 18 kilos and 15 grams of marijuana that was being transported inside a truck. The drugs were packaged in 276 panels, placed in six sacks. The driver of the Ford Explorer truck where they were carrying the cache was arrested in the middle of the procedure. In addition, they seized a cell phone and Starlink satellite equipment, the Goes report states.
Likewise, in the state of Falcón they carried out another anti-narcotics maneuver, carried out by agents from Detachment 134 of the GNB located in Dabajuro and the Bolivarian National Police (PNB). Said police-military commission moved to a property located in the Zazarida sector, Buchivacoa municipality (Capatárida), Falcón, where, with the help of a dog guide, they unearthed 9 cocaine wrappers of different sizes, which yielded a total weight of 1 kilo 110 grams.
Eiroscar Javier Yedra Mavarez, 30 years old, was arrested at the scene, who hid the drug in question underground. They performed a body search on the detainee and found a cell phone hidden in his crotch, as mentioned in the report posted on the GNB’s Instagram account.
Meanwhile, at the Simón Bolívar International Bridge, located in San Antonio del Táchira, the military detained a woman who was carrying 11 mini wrappers of marijuana in her private parts that she would take to Barquisimeto (Lara).
