They dismantle a network that quoted people through networks to assault them

The National Police reported on the arrest of five people who allegedly made up a criminal gang dedicated to using different types of applications and social media to meet with citizens who were later assaulted.

According to a press release from the entity, those arrested are Yildre Mejía Villa Rue, alias “El Chamo”, a Venezuelan national, Jesus Ramón Jilari Cordero Evangelista; Teachers Gisel Díaz (The Most Coveted) and Alanna Michel Batista.

According to the police report, Mejía Villa Rue and Jesús Ramón, in the early hours of this Monday, with a knife in their hands, stripped a citizen of two gold guilloches, a cap, a perfume, a chain, a watch, two cell phones, and the sums of 30,000 pesos and 400 dollars in cash; the event took place in the La Ciénaga sector of the National District.

“After the fact was reported to the National Police Jilari Cordero Evangelista, Maes Gisel Díaz (La Más Codiciada), who was seized of a cell phone, a gold guilloche and 40 dollars, were arrested in the aforementioned sector, “explained the Police.

Alanna Michel, the fifth detainee, who was wanted by arrest warrant No.0238-October-2022, is accused of assaulting a citizen last October.

The five suspected antisocials, in the company of two others whom “the Police have duly identified and are actively searching for,” formed a criminal network dedicated to using the applications of Tinder, Grinder, Bombo, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Badoo, to quote people in certain places in order to assault them.

The detainees, as well as the occupied, have been made available to the Public Ministry, for the corresponding legal purposes.
