Units of the National Police in conjunction with the Public Ministry, carried out this Monday, “Operation Genius”, in order to dismantle a group of swindlers who posed as high-ranking officials to request donations on behalf of the State.
This operation was carried out in the provinces of Chiriquí, Panama and West Panama, to remove these people from circulation.
According to data from the Public Ministry, so far nine people have been apprehended for their alleged link to this criminal network.
