A judge imposed this Thursday preventive detention against another of those involved in the death of the son of deputy Darío Zapata.
The coercive measure was imposed on Raúl Ortega Antigua, who must comply with it at the Najayo-Men Correction and Rehabilitation Center, due to his involvement in the robbery in which the young Dabel de Jesús Zapata Rosa, 33, was killed.
Judge Juan Rodríguez Consoró, of the Permanent Attention Office of the National District, after listening to the arguments of the defense and those of the Public Ministry, understood that preventive detention is the ideal measure so that the accused does not withdraw from the process.
The accused was arrested several days ago, but no coercive measure had been known to him because he alleged that he was 17 years old and not 18 as indicated by the Police. To determine whether he should be prosecuted in the ordinary jurisdiction or for children and adolescents, the authorities carried out a test to verify his age.
Due to the fact, last August, another person involved was given preventive detention. Julio César Ibert Jiménez, 29, was also sent to serve the coercion measure in the Najayo prison.
The preliminary version of the Police indicates that the young man resisted being robbed by four strangers who were traveling in a Honda CRV SUV. The institution of order said that two others involved participated in the incident, against whom the search efforts were activated to be arrested.
