On January 1, 2025, a serious fact of violence was recorded in the district of Perené, Chanchamayo province. A man identified as Frankling TP (28) violently entered the house of his extender Mayerly CE, located on Avenida 09 September, where he physically and verbally assaulted her.
According to the fiscal investigation, in the midst of the attacks, the aggressor took a bottle with fuel and sprayed the liquid on the victim with the apparent intention to set fire. Mayerly CE managed to escape from the place and, with the help of neighbors, the subject was reduced and delivered to the authorities.
The complaint was presented immediately, and the provincial prosecutor Víctor Hugo Romero Chanco of the First Corporate Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Chanchamayo ordered to carry out urgent and unapolable proceedings. Tests such as the police act, testimonies of the victim’s mother, statements of face -to -face witnesses and other elements of conviction were collected.
With these evidences, the Public Ministry requested preventive detention for the alleged crime of attempt at femicide. The Judicial Power accepted the request and issued seven months of preventive detention against Frankling TP, who was admitted to the Chanchamayo prison while investigations continue.
