Indira De Sedas, from LNB’s Legal Department, confirmed the results of the operation and pointed out that the detected businesses will be subject to the sanction contemplated by law.
In joint action with enforcement authorities and members of the National Police, the National Charity Lottery (LNB), carried out an operation last Sunday in the provinces of Herrera and Los Santos, in businesses dedicated to the sale of chances and clandestine tickets.
The inspections were carried out in the afternoon of last Sunday, August 7, in two mini-supermarkets and two merchants of Asian origin who used their business as a front for this illegal activity were caught red-handed.
In this operation, money, lists of numbers, printers were confiscated, and two people of Asian origin were arrested, who were placed under the orders of the duty compliance officials and the Justice of the Peace.

These sanctions amount to up to five thousand balboas in fines.
“The operation was successful. We are persecuting all those who are dedicated to the sale of chances and clandestine tickets and achieving that the sanctions contemplated by the Organic Law of the National Lottery are applied,” said the entity’s official.
He explained that in the operation carried out in a mini-supermarket in the community of Agua Buena, in Los Santos, the sum of 775.70 dollars was seized.
“The operations will continue at the national level. We ask the municipal authorities to be energetic when applying the sanction, since it is an activity that can only be exploited by the National Charity Lottery,” added the official.
