The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), through the General Directorate of Social Security Resources (Dgrss), detected 96% of unregistered workers in seven wholesale distributors in the province of Buenos Aires.
The audits of the body led by Mara Ruiz Malec relieved a total of 52 people and found that 49 of them were without any type of social coverage.
In addition, in the remaining cases, it was observed that another three people had been reported as part-time workers, when in reality they worked for more than nine hours a day.
As a result of these procedures, the AFIP applied fines and sanctions on the audited taxpayers, while evaluating their criminal responsibility.
Finally, the control tasks carried out by the agency are part of the actions to raise awareness about the rights of workers, and the obligations of employers, to reduce labor informality.
