They detect "citadel" of large-scale marijuana production in Concepción

SENAD Special Agents from the Counter-Narcoterrorism Directorate, together with the Joint Task Force and prosecutor Arnaldo Arguello, carried out an incursion into a wooded area located in the town of Ka’aguy Poty Rory, Yby Yaú districtDepartment of Conception.

In this area, they detected a network of 44 interconnected drug camps, equipped with great logistics for the production and processing of marijuana. Also, they found a van with Brazilian registration and 10 motorcycles used for transit between camps.

After verifying these clandestine centers, the delegation managed to seize and destroy 1,200 kilos of pressed marijuana, 20,100 kilos of chopped marijuana, in addition to illicit weed in branches and seeds. On the other hand, they canceled 22 rustic presses for the compaction of marijuana loaves. All the aforementioned evidence was destroyed on the spot.

According to information collected, almost all of the drugs produced in these camps were destined for criminal factions, for distribution in the Brazilian market, being previously collected in “deposits” located in the Pedro Juan Caballero area. Considering the amount of drug taken out of circulation, it is calculated that the loss of profit caused by drug trafficking exceeds 3 million dollars.
