Santo Domingo. – The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, appointed Catalino Correa Hiciano as the new general manager of the Development and Export Bank (Bandex), through Decree no. 498-25.
Correa Hiciano is Authorized Public Accountantgraduated from the Organization and Method University (O & M). It has a master’s degree in Tax Accounting at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and an MBA in Business Administration, with concentration in operations, in the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Master (PUCMM). In addition, he has made specializations in prevention of fiscal fraud and money laundering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, in Spain.
In his professional career he has held relevant positions in the public and private sector. He was an accountant in the Ministry of Public Health and External Auditor in the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII).

He also served as National Treasurerposition from which he managed public funds, and as Comptroller General of the Republicwhere he directed internal control and supervision of the management of state resources.
Similarly, he was in charge of the Social Subsidies Administrator (ADESS)where it promoted technological transformation and strengthened the processes of distribution of social aids aimed at the most vulnerable sectors.
With this designation, the Government highlights the experience and preparation of Correa Hiciano to direct the Bandex, a key entity in the financing of development and export projects in the country.
