Santo Domingo. Carlos De Jesús, deputy of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) for constituency no. 2 of the municipality of Santo Domingo Este, referred to the titling of parcels in Los Mina. He assured that the government land titling program is the “flagship” of the president Luis Abinader.
The legislator indicated that with this he is the only Dominican president who has governed thinking about the well-being and quality of life of his governed.
“When you observe the emotion that has seized each of the almost 50,000 beneficiaries of land titles when they receive their title, they cannot find how to express their gratitude to President Abinader,” said the deputy.
What does the draft resolution say?
The legislator referred to these terms when depositing a resolution project in the Chamber of Deputies. Through this, President Luis Abinader is recommended to address the Permanent Commission for State Land Titling. It is requested that you order the massive titling of houses, dwellings and plots of plots 100 and 101 of the Castratal 15 District of Los Mina.
The draft resolution argues that the Constitution of the Republic establishes that the State recognizes and guarantees the right to property. Also that it must promote, in accordance with the law, access to property, especially titled real estate. For this reason, access by legal, reliable and expeditious means to titled real estate property is a fundamental priority of public policies;
The sectors that would benefit
The legislative piece explains the situation of hundreds of families in Cadastral District 100 of the mine, property of the Dominican State, of the sectors, from October 12 to Rosa Duarte. There, in the interior streets of Respaldo 12 de Octubre, Paraíso, Santa Bárbara, 17-i and Prolongación Venezuela, Los Mina Sur, Circumscription #2, Santo Domingo Este Municipality, for years they have resided in different state housing projects. However, they lack a property title that would guarantee them a secure tenure of the property where they live.
The same happens with hundreds of families of the Cadastral District 101 of Los Mina, property of the Dominican State, from the sectors, October 12 to Abigail, straight up to Sirena. They live in the interior streets, Calle 15, Rosa Duarte, 17 i, Paraíso María Antonia Pineda and K.2, touching Avenida Marcos del Rosario, Los Mina Sur, Circumscription #2, Santo Domingo Este Municipality.
The legislator ensures that this would help the economic and social well-being of these families. It would also allow them to exercise the enjoyment and full enjoyment of their rights as owners.
