The driver of the presidential vehicle, non-commissioned officer Felix Enrique Montalvo Guevara, did not receive permission from the General Command of the National Police of Peru to testify before the Oversight and Comptroller Commission of the Congress of the Republic.
Through a letter addressed to Montalvo Guevara’s lawyer, the General Command of the PNP indicated that what was requested by the Congressional commission must be sent to the Ministry of the Interior because it is “the titular entity on which the National Police of Peru depends.” .
As is known, non-commissioned officer Félix Montalvo, driver of the so-called ‘box’ in which President Dina Boluarte was traveling, requested, through his lawyer, authorization from the general commander of the National Police of Peru (PNP), General Víctor Zanabria , to testify before the Congressional Oversight Commission in relation to the case in which he is involved.
This request comes after the Parliamentary Oversight Commission extended the invitation to the non-commissioned officer to appear this Wednesday and give their statement in the investigations related to the alleged escape of Vladimir Cerrón, leader of Perú Libre.
