The Front of Artists of Borda Hospital He denounced on Tuesday the theft of musical instruments, computers and other materials with which he has been carrying out his daily work for 38 years, in favor of hospital users and de-institutionalization projects, contemplated in the Mental Health Law.
Front coordinator albert savaassured that it is “the tenth robor “who suffer and assured that the private police that guard the Hospital and that depend on the Buenos Aires government, “does not take responsibility for our complaint, does not support the Mental Health Law, nor the Artists’ Front”.
He listed that, among other items, they stole a notebook, a printer, and various musical instruments, including two Creole guitars with plugs, an electric guitar, a 9-channel console, microphones, microphone stands, and guitar and bass cables.
What is the Artists Front about?
The Artists’ Front has 11 workshops where users and externships are trained and learn various artistic disciplines that help them cope with their hospitalization and even proposes the challenge of making presentations.
In addition, in each workshop there are two coordinators, adding a total of 40 volunteers who work ad honorem.
“Last year we made around 20,000 presentations, we traveled to the Mar del Plata festival that is held every year by the Argentine Network of Art and Mental Health, of which we are a part and we are its creators,” Sava said.
