In the last hours, the deputy of the National PartyJavier Radiccioni, has filed a formal complaint with the Electoral Court. The accusation specifically points to Andres Ojedacandidate of Colorado Partyand the former prosecutor and independent collaborator from Colorado Gabriela Fossatifor using symbols without authorization from the National Party in his political campaign.
Radiccioni maintains that the use of emblems and expressions linked to the National Party by Ojeda and Fossati constitutes an illegal and potentially criminal act. In his argument, he emphasizes the exclusivity that his party has over the term “white”, and emphasizes that its use by the Ojeda campaign could represent an electoral crime.
Protection of political assets of the PN
The deputy lists several elements that, in his view, seek to confuse the electorate. Among them, the reference to “Whites with Ojeda”which he considers not only inappropriate but also misleading to voters. The use of the phrase is seen as a deliberate attempt to create confusion about the true political affiliations of the candidates involved.
The complaint emphasizes that the improper use of symbols affects the intangible heritage of the National Party. In his writing, Radiccioni expresses that these acts generate unnecessary chaos among voters, eroding the electoral process and affecting the transparency necessary for citizens to consciously decide their vote.
Additionally, Radiccioni accuses the campaign of using historical symbols that resonate deeply with members of his party, such as the shield and the flag, which he believes adds more layers of confusion among the electorate.
Ojeda distances himself from Fossati
In response to this complaint, Andrés Ojeda declared that he has no direct relationship with Fossati’s actions or with the use of said symbols. Ojeda stated: “It has nothing to do with me or my electoral campaign.” He alluded to the fact that Gabriela Fossati, an independent person, decided to support him without being part of the Colorado Party.
Ojeda explained that Fossati is not formally affiliated with her party and operates independently. The “Blancos con Ojeda” movement is, in his words, a personal initiative of Fossati, with no connection with his official campaign.
