They denounced Conte Grand for covering up JxC officials

Julio Conte Grand is a Buenos Aires Attorney and was denounced for covering up Together for Change officials.

The president of the Constitutional Affairs and Justice commission of the Buenos Aires Chamber of Deputies, Susana González, criminally denounced the provincial Attorney General, Julio Conte Grand, accusing him of “covering up” government officials of Together for Change of the province of Buenos Aires who would have committed acts of corruption.

In the presentation, to which Télam agreed, also requested that six other people be investigated for the possible commission of the crimes of “misappropriation of funds and fraud to the detriment of the public administration for US$ 95 million earmarked for four boats that were not built”.

Those other defendants are the former head of the Río Santiago Shipyard, Daniel Capdevila; the prosecutor Juan Cruz Condomí Alcorta, officials from the Attorney Miguel de Lezica, Max Perkins and Francisco Pont Vergés and Ricardo René López, former Security Coordinator and head of Human Resources at the Río Santiago Shipyard and member of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) .

“The complaint points to the framework for the judicial and armed persecution of opponents against Shipyard workers and union representatives, in complicity with organic, inorganic agents and officials of the national and provincial Executive Branch during the government of María Eugenia Vidal,” he said. Gonzalez. And he also accused them of “illegal exactions, negotiations incompatible with the public function, embezzlement, transnational bribery, influence peddling and illicit association.”

In his complaint, González said that these events “were carried out in collusion between those who were officials of the Executive Power, officials of the Attorney General, Fiscal Agents,” which, he affirmed, shows “the main participation of the Attorney General of the Province of Buenos Aires, together with members of the Public Ministry and the Attorney General.”

For the deputy, during the macrista administration, “a coordinated action plan was formed between a group of officials of the national and provincial Executive Power whose objective was the impunity of Cambiemos officials, the persecution of political opponents, and the disciplining of prosecutors granting impunity or providing for their suspension”.

He stressed that “an act of corruption that is discovered in the armed case against the leaders of ATE-Ensenada, in which agents of the AFI would have intervened and from which both national and provincial officials and auditors and directors of the Shipyard could have enriched Santiago River”.

For González, the prosecutor in charge of that case, “he decided to go after the ATE unionists and not investigate an act of corruption that compromised Cambiemos”, which he considers “an act of corruption proven by the expertise of the Naval Prefecture, which included the controllers of the Rio Santiago Shipyard and the AFI Agents, for some 95 million dollars”.

The complaint was filed in Federal Court 1 of La Plata by Alejo Ramos Padilla. González indicated that “the complaint points to the framework for the judicial persecution and armed causes of opponents in complicity with organic, inorganic agents and officials of the national and provincial Executive Power during the government of María Eugenia Vidal.”

González indicated that “they ran into their own clumsiness” and that the expertise “shows that they embezzled US$95 million that were intended for four vessels that were not built.” The deputy provides the technical report of the Naval Prefecture and that of the accountants in the visit to the Río Santiago Shipyard, carried out on February 8, 2019.

He added that there was “a contract signed between Shipyards and an off shore company, with the purchase of Steel Plates and Profiles for the construction of 2 ships for an approximate amount of 95 million dollars” in 2016.

González said that since Conte Grand took office there was a plan to commit “acts in order to enable, with the intervention of federal intelligence agents, the enrichment of federal and provincial officials through acts of corruption.”
