The mayor of the district of Penonomé Paula González denounced that unfortunately the Panama Emprende platform is giving notices of incomplete operations, this has caused many canteens to be disguised as restaurants, for which she asks that those who have carried out procedures on this platform go to the corresponding entities. to meet certain requirements.
González pointed out that many of these stores have already closed because they do not meet the requirements of the law.
According to the mayor, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry does not carry out the necessary inspections either, leaving people to believe that as soon as they have the operation notice they can operate automatically without having met the requirements.
He denounced that this represents a danger to the community and more the issue of health security. The mayor pointed out that this year they have closed more than 10 premises, because they do not meet the requirements and canteens disguised as restaurants were proliferating.
