The young Venezuelan Sanson Anderson Gutiérrez Marín, 27 years old, died in strange circumstances on May 4 in Chile, allegedly while he was detained by five police officers.
The event was reported by the Instagram account of Venezuelans in Chile @venezolanosenchile2.0 this Wednesday and from this digital medium Sanson’s relatives ask the Chilean authorities for justice to clarify his death.
The publication of @venezolanosenchile2.0 tells that the young Venezuelan withdrew a large sum of money as a result of his work as a butcher and arrived at the room he had rented, kept part of the money and went out with another part, but when he returned he realized that the room had been cleaned and his money stolen.
“Dismayed by what happened, he began to argue with the hostel managers, presenting a strong altercation, and these denying having taken the money called the police (carabineros). Five of them took Sanson Anderson allegedly detained by force, while he tried to tell them that they had robbed him, the officials did not listen or did not believe him and two hours later he was taken to a hospital without vital signs, revealing the autopsy: Death due to polytrauma resulting from a beating”, describes the publication.
The Venezuelan was a native of Mariara, Carabobo state, and leaves two orphaned children. Her mother, Inés Marín, together with her relatives, asks that the case be investigated, refers @ Venezuelanenchile2.0.
