Escalante was arrested for the first time in 2017, two days after the assault on the 41st Armored Brigade. At that time, I was imprisoned for almost five months in Ramo Verde, where his health deteriorated significantly. Later, he was released under precautionary measures.
Fetracarabobo is an organization affiliated with the Confederation of Venezuelan Workers (CTV), whose general secretary, Elías Torres, has been in a situation of forced disappearance since last November 29. This week, Foreign Ministry trade unionist José Patines was also arrested and released.
