They denounce the arrest of the president of the Democracy and Inclusion Movement, Ángel Godoy

Nicmer Evans, co-founder of the political organization, denounced that Godoy was detained by the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin)


On the afternoon of this Wednesday, January 8, the president of the Democracy and Inclusion Movement, Ángel Godoy, was arrested by officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), reported the co-founder of the political organization Nicmer Evans.

«Sebin arrested the president of the Democracy and Inclusion Movement, Ángel Godoy. Organization to which I belong and am a founder with him. “We demand his immediate release!!!” Evans wrote on his X account.

According to the portal Cut PointGodoy was intercepted when arriving at his residence in Los Teques (Miranda). “When he was at the door, the officials approached him and took him into custody in private vehicles,” the media details.

Until the family moments, they do not know his whereabouts and demand his immediate release; and indicated that the leader has respiratory problems and is under medical treatment for said pathology.

More than six arrested in 72 hours

In the last 72 hours, several Venezuelan opposition politicians and human rights defenders have been arrested, including former presidential candidate Enrique Márquez, as well as the reported “disappearance” of activist Carlos Correa and the “kidnapping” of Edmundo González Urrutia’s son-in-law, Rafael Tudares.
