The anti-corruption prosecutor Ramón Alfonso Vallejo Odría, recently elected president of the Junín Board of Prosecutors for the period 2025-2026, and who was known for supporting the Wanka Aerodrome case against Vladimir Cerrón, today a fugitive from justice, faces serious accusations for alleged illicit enrichment.
Together with the prosecutor Luisa Marleni Polo Salinas, whom they point out in the complaint as their romantic partner, they are credited with the acquisition of six properties, four in Lima and two in Huancayo, valued at more than 1 million 200 thousand soles. In addition, they are accused of maintaining a bank account with 6 million soles and operating a network of front men.
The complaint was presented by citizen Luis Cóndor Chambilla before the Attorney General, Delia Espinoza, and the National Board of Justice.
According to the complainant, the properties were acquired in cash during Vallejo’s tenure as a public official, thus configuring the crimes of abuse of office and illicit increase of assets. SUNARP has registered the properties and a Honda HR-V vehicle, acquired for a significant amount.
“They are false accusations”
Vallejo has denied the allegations, calling them false and stating that the properties are small apartments purchased with his income as a judge and prosecutor for more than 20 years. He also denied having a bank account with more than 6 million and explained that the deposits made to his brothers were to help his mother.
“That person has not made a proper complaint. In my life I will have six million in my account; That can be seen on my bank statement. For years, in my statement I have authorized the release of my banking secrets. They claim that I have four properties: an apartment and its parking lot, there are two; the other is also an apartment and its parking lot. I bought the first one when I was a judge. “I have been working in the justice system for 22 years and I did not acquire it overnight.” Vallejo said.
“As for me having transferred money to other people, I make deposits to my brothers because I have helped them with something minimal. I have deposited it with my mother to help her. “It is a malicious complaint.” he said indignantly.
