The afternoon of this Friday, July 15 from the Education Program – Human Rights Action (Provide) denounced that alleged officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) would be persecuting union leader Carlos Salazar.

The leader of the National Trade Union Coalition is reportedly being chased in a vehicle without license plates through various areas of the city.
Starting at 4:30 in the afternoon, the union leader noticed that he was being followed by an unmarked vehicle. He warned that in recent days the same car was chasing him, so he asked for support from officials of the Municipal Police of Hatillo, by stopping them they would have identified themselves as part of the Sebin.
Carlos Salazar is a union leader, known for being involved in various mobilizations and activities organized by workers from various sectors in defense of their rights, and more recently to condemn the instructions of the National Budget Office (Onapre).
Last Tuesday, Salazar participated in the workers’ march that went to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to demand the annulment of these instructions, and was part of the commission that met with magistrates of the Court, to also demand the release of the six trade unionists recently arrested.
