The councilor of the Autonomous Community (CA) José Antonio Alberti revealed a list with names of officials who worked in the municipal Executive the past administration, which were allegedly quota of the current mayor Jhonny Fernández, who was then a councilor.

The documentation shown by the municipal legislator was sent to the Special Commission of the Municipal Council of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, which in turn investigates the case of ghost items.

He announced that he will ask the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the former councilors of previous administrations, including Mayor Fernández, because it is considered an irregularity that councilors have items in the municipal Executive.

“This list confirms the pact between Santa Cruz para Todos (STP), the MAS and UCS, that is why the Executive’s control is waived,” Alberti told El Deber.

The list includes 199 names of officials who were allegedly endorsed by Fernández. Alberti reported that there are still officials in the current municipal administration and that they were even promoted, including a municipal secretary.

For his part, the Mayor of Santa Cruz announced the presentation of a constitutional protection before judicial instances to reopen the case of irregular contracts during the management of his predecessor in the mayor’s chair, Angélica Sosa.

The hearing for the case was scheduled for this Wednesday. Municipal authorities await the determination to be made.
