The Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners (CLIPPVE) denounced the forced disappearance of María de los Ángeles Castillo, arrested early July 18 in Lara state.
Castillo, who is the mother of two 12 and 9 year old girls, was at home, located in Río Claro, Lara state, when a group of approximately 20 hooded people and weapons broke into their home and took her without any court order.
According to The complaint made by the CommitteeCastillo’s daughters were also threatened with weapons. It has already been more than a month of detention and the family has no information about its whereabouts.
“His little daughters and his whole family are very distressed by not knowing where or in what conditions they have it, which constitutes a state of inhuman suffering,” said the organization this Friday, September 5.

The Committee described the case of Castillo as a “serious violation of human rights and corresponds to a forced disappearance, typified as a crime against humanity.”
The Committee demanded a faith of life from Castillo and that his relatives are allowed to establish contact with her to know how he is.
