After the complaint was made public by a mother whose three-year-old son was tied to a chair by those responsible for a private nurserylocated in the second ring of Piraí avenue, in the capital of Santa Cruz, this Wednesday it was learned that the kindergarten fired four officials and initiated criminal proceedings against two of them.

The abuse of this minor would have occurred between December 9 and 22 last year, while attending a summer workshop offered by the nursery. It was thanks to the mother of one of his classmates that the family could be alerted about what was happening with her child in the classroom.

“I found out through another mother that They tied my son with scotch tape around his body and also put it in his mouth; He also informed me that the administrator had commented that my son had mild autism,” denounced the mother of the minor.

The woman indicated that the nursery staff first denied that the abuse had occurred, but was later able to corroborate it when reviewed the security camera footage of the establishment.

“Four of them are the ones who touch it to me and three accomplices. They said they had no other method to treat a hyperactive child. I ask that everything be thoroughly investigated about the institution,” said the mother.

Faced with this situation, the lawyer Darly Franco, representative of the nursery, stated that the director fired four employees (the coordinator, two teachers and the nursery assistant), who apparently had knowledge of the alleged mistreatment and initiated proceedings against those responsible.

“As a defense of the nursery director, we filed a complaint with the Ombudsman for Children and Adolescents for child abuse, so that an investigation can be opened against those denounced”, clarified Franco.

However, it was learned that the complaint will be extended by concealment against the administrator and the owner of the establishment by the minor’s family. It is not ruled out that there are other victims of abuse.
