In separate audios sent to CubaNetLisdiani’s sister, Lisdani Rodríguez Isaac, and her mother, said that the prison repressors have beaten and abused the young woman, according to information confirmed to Rodríguez’s family by prisoners from Guamajal.

According to the testimonies, Major Alberiche, head of the internal organ of Villa Clara, entered alone, without female accompaniment, to the cubicle where Lisdiani was lying, thus violating prison regulations.

Albertiche, after taking a tour with Major Marlén de la Rosa, returned to the detachment, approached Lisdiani’s bed, uncovered it and lifted it up. Then he ordered him to stand at attention in front of him.

The repressor threatened to lock her in a punishment cell but Lisdiani replied that he should drag her away. Later, he took her to an office where the prison repressors beat her.

They covered Lisdiani’s mouth while they attacked her so that she could not scream, a prisoner told the family by telephone. The incident left her with visible bruises on her body, which is why the authorities denied her the corresponding pass, so that her family cannot see her with the marks of the blows.

The prisoners, according to Lisdiani’s family, protested against the abuse and shouted anti-government slogans.

“I am worried because I see what is happening to my sister’s life,” said Lisdani, who fears these acts of abuse against Lisdiani.

The Rodríguez Isaac sisters

The sisters have been victims of systematic abuse in the Guamajal prison. “Both my sister and I are innocent, we are only imprisoned for thinking differently, for asserting our rights,” she declared exclusively for CubaNet the political prisoner Lisdani Rodríguez.

“They told me that they were going to get rid of my mother like they got rid of me and my sister. “They are capable of inventing anything in order to bring you down, just for thinking differently, for having gone out to a demonstration that, by right, belongs to us,” he added.
