The surname Orué became a trend this week after the Chalaca congresswoman Ariana Orue was once again at the center of controversy due to the role of his parliamentary advisor Renzo Nicolás Basurco.
Although the legislator denied any personal closeness between Basurco and her family, photographs presented by Cuarto Poder show the advisor on his knees asking Shirley Orué, sister of the parliamentarian, to marry him.
The revelation occurs in the midst of a previous scandal: Orué was caught using an advisor as a private driver to travel to her exercise routines during work hours, aboard a vehicle with an official Congress pass.
According to the journalistic report, Basurco holds the position of advisor II, despite not having previous experience in the State. In addition to his role in the congressional office, his emotional bond with Shirley Orué has become evident in different situations, including an incident on public roads recorded by the police.
According to Cuarto Poder, Basurco was intercepted while driving a vehicle owned by the parliamentarian’s father. The advisor admitted to having consumed alcohol, while Shirley Orué tried to snatch documentation from the agents during the intervention.

Ariana Orué’s version
When consulted by the press, the congresswoman tried to minimize the facts and denied irregularities in Basurco’s hiring, ensuring that she meets the requirements for her position.
“He meets all the requirements that Congress requires. He is a professional, he is studying a master’s degree, he has a professional career and he is a position of trust,” Orué declared.
Regarding the romantic bond with her sister, the congresswoman said that it is a smear campaign:
“They can link him to my sister because they are already entering the campaign and they are going to distort the information. The man is single. He is professional, he is humble and he is a person from Callao. I am not going to leave him without a job because people ask for it.”
