He Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA) yesterday delivered a second batch of RD$10 million, of RD$17 million in total, to farmers from different associations, for the transformation of the energy matrix of the collection centers, which will result in cost savings in the sector.
According to the director of FEDA, Hecmilio Galvanthe checks will be delivered to ranchers throughout the country and it is estimated that the long-term benefits will be around RD$300 million.

He said that with this disbursement, of which a part is through the program promisedirected by the National Council for the Regulation and Promotion of the Dairy Industry (Conaleche) and the General Directorate of Livestock (Digega), seeks for farmers to have greater profitability, but above all for the products to reach a best price to consumers.
Likewise, the adviser on agricultural matters to the Executive Power, Eric Riveropointed out that the project will have a positive impact for many years.
He said that this public policy will benefit more than 100 collection centers and that there will be an impact on more than a million liters of milk that are installed in the collection centers of the country.
