After several years of waiting, the community of Alcalde Diaz will have fresh food, at low cost and close to their homes, thanks to the fact that Mayor José Luis Fábrega delivered this Wednesday, January 18, the order to proceed with the construction of the Municipal Market of Mayor Diaz.

This work, which will be part of the Integral Network of Municipal Markets (Rimmu) will be built on a large plot of approximately 2 hectares where some 60 commercial premises will operate, most of which focus on food services.

According to the mayor, the construction of this market will generate 150 jobs and he said that they hope to open this market in a year and a half.

This market will have a comprehensive service center for payment of public services and municipal taxes, like other markets in Rimmu. In fact, last week two years of the commissioning of the renovated San Felipe Neri Market, in the township of Santa Ana, were celebrated.

“The Rimmu family continues to grow. Next week we will have the citizen consultation of the Las Garzas Market; We have already given the order for the signing of the purchase contract for the Tocumen Market and in October we will deliver the Pueblo Nuevo Market, which began with the administration of Roxana Méndez and for reasons unknown to us, from the past administration, it was not gave continuity, “added Fábrega.

Last October the Market was inaugurated in Pacora. Weeks before, the order had been delivered to proceed with the construction of a similar work in Chilibre.
