Residents of the Cerro Pelado corregimiento, district of Ñurum, in the Ngäbe Buglé region, received 1,355 medicines that were delivered through 677 prescriptions issued by the Ministry of Health team that carried out a medical tour in this area.

The regional director of Health in the region, Diomedes Taylor indicated that around 600 inhabitants of Las Mesitas, El Porvenir, Alto Mesitas, Bajo Mesitas and El Naranjal attended this medical tour.
Taylor revealed that 1,500 pounds of cream and milk were delivered through the nutrition program; 356 weight and height consultations were carried out, as well as orientation and evaluation in nutritional matters.
Health promotion gave educational talks to the community and for Environmental Sanitation Calcium Hypochlorite tablets were donated to the Administrative Boards of Rural Aqueducts; two water reversal tanks were inspected; and disinfected homes and commercial premises.
