President Luis Abinader assured that the Government has deployed numerous projects that seek to create a housing stock to guarantee the right to a roof over low-income people and generate jobs with the construction of these works.
By delivering 120 apartments in the Los Americanos II sector and inaugurating a section of Los Beisbolistas avenue and a children’s room in Los Alcarrizos; as well as a park in the Los Jardines sector, affirmed that the housing project includes a total investment of 342 million pesos and is included in a plan that involves different stages, with the purpose of contributing to Dominicans being able to have their home.
“Of these 120 housing solutions in Praderas del Norte, 56 have received significant aid from the Dominican State to reduce the payment of their monthly fee, such as 240,000 pesos for the Initial Bonus and 4,000 pesos per month for the 7-year Rate Bonus, granted by the Ministry of the Presidency, 172 thousand pesos for the Itbis Bonus applied to the initial payment of housing by the DGII and 135 thousand pesos for the Women’s Bonus from the Ministry of Women.
For an estimated total of more than 800 thousand pesos in aid so that these families can fulfill the dream of having their own home,” he explained.
He added: «The Happy Family Bonus, which consists of benefits from the Dominican State that includes an Initial Bonus for housing, applied directly by the PNVFF, Bonus Tax on the Transfer of Goods and Services (Itbis) applied to the initial housing, Bono Mujer and Bono Tasa 7 years, which is an aid to pay the monthly fee”.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Housing has 126 projects in gestation and 42 in development at the national level, in order to improve the quality of life of Dominicans residing in 24 provinces of the country. In addition, he stated that “from now until the first quarter of next year, 2,500 homes will be delivered to the same number of families in our Dominican Republic.”
He stressed that the Praderas del Norte project will have 830 single-family and multi-family housing units, which will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, balcony and parking. The first stage will have 295 units and subsequent stages will have 535 units.

During his tour of Los Alcarrizos, the president led the restoration of a 923-meter length of Los Beisbolistas avenue, whose works include installation of 60-meter round reinforced concrete sewer pipes with North American standard ASTM-C76 and a drinking water line , with extractions of existing useless material on the road whose average thickness is 1.50 meters.
The Minister of Public Works Deligne Ascensión specified that these works were carried out in the vicinity between the Special Operations facilities until reaching where the Los Alcarrizos bypass is currently being built.

Abinader also supervised the works of the Rosa Duarte Park, next to the Juan Bosch Bridge, visited Paris Avenue to verify the reconstruction of the “La París” project, visited the fourth stage of the Malecón Seafront Promenade, and the construction of the tunnel for the Metro in level zero towards Los Alcarrizos and the lifting of station 8 of the cable car.

President Luis Abinader led the inauguration of the new Caipi Lebroncito, in Pedro Brand. The delivery of the work, in which 250 newly admitted children will receive comprehensive quality care, is part of the expansion plan promoted by the government to integrate more children into these services.
