At the request of the Superior Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes of Illicit Association, in a hearing of multiple requests before the Court of Guarantees, this Saturday the provisional arrest of alias ‘Andy’ was ordered, allegedly linked to the crime of gang activity.
This person was apprehended in a raid and search procedure in the El Diamante sector, San Miguelito district, by the Primary Care Section of the San Miguelito Regional Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the National Police, and will be investigated for allegedly belonging to the gang called “Terrorists of the New Detroit or TND”.
This gang was dedicated to crimes related to drugs, homicides, illegal possession of firearms, robberies and thefts and operates in the El Diamante, Los Quemados sector, Arnulfo Arias corregimiento, district of San Miguelito; and surrounding sectors in the district of Tonosí, province of Los Santos.
There are already 7 accused people involved in this gang, and they were apprehended in the “Perla” operation, carried out on January 18, 2022, in the district of San Miguelito, specifically in the sectors of El Diamante, Los Quemaos and El Hueco; as well as in the province of Chiriquí simultaneously.
