A total of 67 explosive devices were deactivated in Apure during Operation Vuelvan Caras, aimed at eliminating the entire logistics structure installed by Colombian drug trafficking groups, reported General-in-Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces ( Ceofanb).
“Venezuela will not be a logistical support or support structure for any invading Colombian terrorist group, Venezuela is a territory of peace, the Tancol (Colombian Armed Drug Trafficking Terrorists) structures and camps will be destroyed,” Hernández Lárez wrote on Twitter.
From that same social network, the head of Ceofanb reported that 32 explosive devices were detected and deactivated last Monday in the El Ripial sector, José Antonio Páez municipality (Guasdualito), Apure.
A series of armed clashes between FANB units and Colombian irregular groups took place in that sector last year, as explained at the time by the authorities.
Hence, Hernández Lárez, when providing the information, commented that these explosives “were planted on the roads and trails by the Tancols to bring to Venezuela their theory of the Colombian chaos of domination by terror.”
The other portion of explosives, which totaled 35, was located in the La Capilla sector, Páez municipality, Apure. “The territory of Venezuela is not for sale, much less for drug trafficking purposes and the installation of Colombian paramilitary structures,” Hernández Lárez said.
