The Buenos Aires Government created a “telephone line for first listening, follow-up, articulation and referral for men who have exercised or exercise violence for reasons of gender”.
The line “Let’s talk” will work in the area of the Undersecretariat for Gender and Sexual Diversity Policies, and was created by resolution 113 published this Thursday in the district’s Official Gazette.
In the recitals of the measure it is noted that “Gender-based violence is part of a systematic social problem that is learned through processes of upbringing and socialization, naturalizing attitudes typical of the asymmetry of power between genders”.
In this framework, it was highlighted that the work for its eradication “must include measures and activities that allow the social structures, discourses and plots that deepen inequalities and legitimize positions of superiority to be problematized.”
The assistance line aims to “facilitate access to early care for those men who, due to personal motivation or judicial indication, are in search of a care space”.
attention It will be aimed at men over 18 years of age residing in the Province of Buenos Aires.
