Within this framework, Ctera affirmed that it will propose “a salary increase that exceeds inflation, with permanent review”, the “modification of the Income Tax” and “continue with the elaboration of the Collective Agreement of the teaching sector”.

In addition, he announced that he will request “a new Educational Financing Law” and the “National Educational Budget.”

For its part, the Union of Education Workers (UTE), which represents the teachers of the city of Buenos Aires, announced that the Government of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta called a meeting also for Thursday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m. .

The teachers’ union stated in a statement that they will demand from the city “an increase that exceeds inflation to continue the recovery of purchasing power that began in 2021, after 5 consecutive years in which teacher salaries did not exceed inflationary rates.”
