According to the federal government security cabinet, until yesterday the authorities have secured 82 firearms (28 from the United States), 12,515 cartridges of various calibers and 437 loaders.
They have also secured 26 kilograms of marijuana, 440 kilograms of cocaine, 538 kilograms of methamphetamine, eight kilograms of fentanyl, 90,775 pesos, 109 vehicles and sixteen real estate.
“The actions materialize in strict adherence of the rule of law and with full respect for human rights,” said the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
In Baja California they arrested 13 people and secured 0.0396 kilograms of marijuana, 60 kilograms of cocaine, 537,472 kg of methamphetamine, 0.1018 kilograms of fentanil, a property, six vehicles and 16 rescued migrants.
In Sonora they arrested two people and they secured 185 cartridges, six loaders, 0.82 kilograms of marijuana, 0.34 kilograms of methamphetamine, a property, three vehicles, in addition to 28 rescued migrants.
In Chihuahua they arrested four people and assured two firearms, 1,927 cartridges, 79 loaders, a vehicle and three rescued migrants.
In Coahuila they arrested a person, 11 kilograms of marijuana were secured and there were 47 rescued migrants.
In Nuevo León they arrested a person and secured 0.16 kilograms of marijuana, 0.00726 kilograms of cocaine, 0.001 kilograms of methamphetamine, a vehicle and eight rescued migrants.
In Tamaulipas they arrested seven people and secured 26 firearms, 215 cartridges, 42 loaders, 0.1 kilograms of marijuana and 22 vehicles.
The North Frontera operation is part of the agreement held by President Claudia Sheinbaum and the president of the United States, Donald Trump to postpone the increase in tariffs to Mexico.
Among the cities that are part of the “North border operation” They are Tijuana, Tecate, Agua Prieta, Piedras Negras, Ciudad Juárez, Ciudad Mier, Nuevo Laredo and Matamoros, among others.
