A container with 350 wooden tucas of the species Dalbergia retusa, better known as Cocobolo, and which is in danger of extinction, was seized by the National Police in a port of Colón.
Through an operation carried out by the National Directorate of Police Intelligence, officials from the Ministry and the Ministry of the Environment, this container was located whose final destination was Shanghai, China.

The authorities stressed that they are committed to conserving the environment, in safeguarding protected areas, for which they work hand in hand with officials from the Ministry of the Environment to sanction those who engage in this type of illicit activity.
