Santo Domingo.- Agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministrysupported by the Specialized Airport Security Corps (CESAC) and inspectors Customs (DGA)they occupied eight packages presumably cocaineduring joint inspection tasks carried out, in the Las Américas International Airport (AILA-JFPG).
The operational units were verifying the loads in one of the terminal’s warehouses, when a canine unit gave a positive alert of narcotic substances inside several cardboard boxes, which according to the statement would be sent to Madrid, Spain.
On instructions from the prosecutor, the opening process began, locating in three boxes a total of eight packages presumably cocainelined in plastic covers, weighing more than five (05) kilograms.

As has been established, the packages were sent by a woman, with an alleged address in San Isidro highway, Santo Domingo Este municipalityand would be received by an individual residing in the Monte Perdido street, in Madrid.
“Inside one of the boxes, the authorities located a black GPS wrapped among the packages,” the press release states.
He Public Ministry and the DNCD They expand the investigations in relation to the frustrated shipment of the alleged drug under this modality, to identify, arrest and bring to justice those involved in the case.

The packages of the substance were sent to National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding purposes.
