In the different states of the country, the 33 years of the rebellion of February 4, 1992, an event that marked a milestone in the history of Venezuela was commemorated.
In Nueva Esparta, the day was held in the Plaza Hugo Chávez de Porlamar, which was organized by the Maritime and Insular Defense Region (Redimain) and brought together a group of citizens, military and representatives of various institutions. The activity was developed in an environment of civic-military unity, highlighting the importance of this date in the struggle for national dignity.
Admiral José Rafael Hernández Abchi, commander of the Redimain, shared his perspective on the meaning of 4F. “It is a day of hope, a day that again reactivated the struggle for dignity, the struggle for democracy and national independence,” he said proudly. His speech motivated those present, who felt inspired by the Bolivarian and revolutionary spirit that permeated the environment.
4F: An act of courage
During the event, attendees participated in a walk followed by a conversation where the deep meaning of the 4F was discussed. For many, this date symbolizes not only an act of courage, but also the awakening of a collective conscience that seeks to transform the political course of the country.
The event culminated with a dissertation of the historian Leopoldo Espinoza Prieto, who recalled that the events of February 4 were a brave and worthy effort of military youth led by Lieutenant-Coronel Hugo Chávez. Espinoza stressed how these events were the preamble of the victory of the Bolivarian Revolution in 1998, thus reaffirming the historical relevance of that day.
Monagas commemorated National Dignity Day with various activities
In the Monagas state the day of national dignity with march-trot, floral offering and act of civic, military, police union to exalt the popular victory of the 4F historical victory was commemorated.
In the early hours of the morning more than 1,720 combatants made a 3-kilometer macha-trot to lock the popular victory of the 4F civic-military rebellion.
The activity was headed by the commander of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) 52 Monagas, G/D Romerl Romero Domínguez; the head of the Zone 51 Command of the Bolivarian National Guard, G/B Juan Leonardo Yusti Pérez; the commander of the 32 Caribbean Brigade, G/B Okler Roberto Yustiz Castillo; the Secretary of Citizen Security, Colonel Eduardo Almérida Padrón; the director of the Bolivarian National Police, Colonel Antonio Pérez Luis, and other authorities.
Then in the Hugo Chávez square, the cultural and commemorative act was carried out together with the Civic, Military, Police and Popular Power Union.
In the activity was Professor Cosme Arzolay, Secretary of Government of the State Monagas; G/D Romerl Romero Domínguez, commander of the Comprehensive Defense Operating Zone (Zodi) 52 Monagas; Eliud Larez, general director of the Bolivarian Mayor’s Office of Maturín, councilors and councilors, in addition to the powers of the Monagas State, and direction of the United Socialist Party (PSUV).
G/d Romerl Romero Domínguez stood out in his speech that on February 4, 1992, military youth, under the leadership of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, began a rebellion inspired by the sublime ideology of Father Libertador Simón Bolívar, with the firm purpose to face the neoliberal agenda and the delivery of the country to foreign interests, which has characterized the governors of the pseudo democracy of the IV Republic.
A “for now”
For his part, the speaker of the order, engineer Juan Francisco Trébol in his speech expressed that a “for now” resulted in the awakening of a people, thanks to the bravery of a group of young military in favor of true independence and a “Forever” that 32 years later, despite all attempts for destabilization and sabotage, the men and women of this homeland continue to bet with determination to be free with conscience, socialism and patriotism.
