After the closing day and protests carried out during the noon and afternoon of this Tuesday, October 25, by employees of the institution, in demands for the adjustments of the salary scale, the Social Security Fund (CSS), reported that they were able to collect hospital waste accumulated outside the Hospital Complex, Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid.
According to the entity, personnel from the supplier company were able to enter with the support of a security cordon deployed by units of the National Police, managing to collect hundreds of bags with dangerous material.
“Early on, authorities of the entity were evaluating the effects derived from the stoppage of work by some workers of the Department of Domestic Service of this hospital”; CSS said.
He indicated that it was possible to confirm that the situation was critical because the rooms were dirty, with garbage and dangerous materials accumulated in the corridors.
According to the entity, multiple tasks were carried out to dispose of the waste.
They reiterate that the path of dialogue is the correct way to find solutions, but they will do what is necessary to avoid putting the health of patients, family members and users at risk.
