It is not the first time that, due to pressure from the Venezuelan government, some radio programs in the state of Barinas are no longer on the air. In November 2021, radial spaces Impact Newscast and The best of Barinas ceased their transmissions that went out through Impact 107.1 FM.
The NGO Public Space recalled from this case that, only in the year 2022, they registered the closure of at least 81 radio stations in Venezuela, an action carried out mainly by the National Telecommunications Commission and that this reduces the ability of citizens to access information in general.
