Police union leader Ricardo González posted on his Twitter account that officials from the Ministry of the Interior were being charged $20 to enter the bathroom at the Cerro Coordinated Center. By the same means, the president of the union (Sifpom), Patricia Rodríguez, reported that the director of Security and Coexistence of the ministry, Santiago González, had communicated with the president of ASSE, Leonardo Cipriani, who apologized.
Gonzalez confirmed to The Observer that Cipriani ordered an urgent investigation to find out the details. Despite this, the president of the Federation of Public Health Officials (FFSP), Martín Pereira, went out to cross the president of Sifpom on his Twitter account.
“I contacted the Internal Commission of the Hill. It was a game between troops of the Ministry of the Interior. If we find out before exposing the health workers of the Hill, it would be better. Joke between troops !!!”, he wrote.

But Rodríguez insisted again that this was not the case. “It’s not a joke, if they did it from our Ministry it’s also wrong, because many police officers and family called us outraged by that poster,” he replied.

The crossings between Rodríguez and Pereira
The role of the police union within the PIT-CNT, where Pereira is part of the executive secretariat, has generated resentment, especially during the campaign to repeal 135 articles of the urgently needed law. After the victory of the No, from the union central Sifpom was summoned to analyze its role in the campaign, given that they had not campaigned in favor of the repeal, when that had been the position of the majority.
At that time, Pereira had been one of the critics of the role of the police union. “They rarely come to the secretariat, they claimed a place and participate little, so if they escape the discussions it is very difficult to exchangePereira told The Observer in March. “They did not respect the decisions of the PIT-CNT, of which they are members, and every time there is a discussion involving their union, they avoid the discussion (…) It is very difficult to build like this and they make it appear that they are not wants in the trade union movement. We voted that they have to be within the union movement but they have to be there to give the discussion like any other union“, criticized then.
