The prosecutor of FloridaAlicia Gómez, charged this Monday the 47-year-old man who killed his brother after shooting him multiple times with a rifle while they were arguing.
The official of the Public Ministry prosecuted him for the crime of homicide especially aggravated by kinship. As a precautionary measure, the Justice ordered the preventive detention of the subject for a period of 180 days.

According to a statement from the Florida Police Headquarters, the incident occurred after midnight on Sunday in the town of Nico Pérez, Florida. Around that time, the 9-1-1 Emergency Service received a call requesting help in the building located at kilometer 214 of Route 7, since there was a man with a gunshot wound.
Before the call, police officers from the town located on the border with the department of Lavalleja went to the site. Upon arrival, they found the now accused, who told them that he shot his brother with a rifle.
Police officers entered the site and verified what was described, meeting the wounded man. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of the victim.
Also present at the site, inside a car, was a 29-year-old woman with her 12-year-old son. This was the deceased’s partner, who was waiting for the arrival of the Police.
Police sources indicated that the discussion began after the murderer complained to his brother about the mistreatment of his wife. The fight escalated into violence and ended when the assailant fired several shots with his rifle, hitting his brother multiple times.
The woman was also injured during the attack. However, the injury was not serious, so she is out of danger.
